The Better Man movie has me thinking about the Rock DJ music Video in a new light

I always just assumed the video was a joke and/or deliberately controversial, but given the themes shown in Better Man about Robbie and his relationship to fame and performing around the time the video was made, I can't help but reframe it through the films lens

Starting with singing and dancing to get the crowd's attention, then stripping his shirt off, his pants, even the underwear until he is completely exposed and when that still doesn't work the only thing left to strip off is his very skin, and then literally tearing himself apart to get attention, to be entertaining and worth looking at...

Then they all want a piece of him (again literally depicting the metaphor) until there's nothing recognisably him left, the very end as the song fades out even has him stop dancing and looking down at his hand dejectedly

(I know it's a crowd of girls so it could be read more as what you're willing to do to get a girl, but a crowd is still a crowd)

I might be thinking too much about this but a) that video scarred me as a child and b) just because the song is a party song doesn't mean the video can't have artistic merit

Connection Description:

Your character would be a coven member who has been wary about Jasmine since she first joined the coven. They know that she used to/have seen her perform dark magic and have been concerned about what her presence in the Coven could mean, especially if she ever were to perform dark magic again.

Your character would be a light witch who is dedicated to the Coven. They could have grown up in it or found their way to Lunar Cove later in life. But, they would have been in town on July 4th of 2023 when their supreme, Poppy Reed, died and was brought back to life by her sister, Jasmine.

While your character would have voted to bring Poppy back at the time and, still love and feel thankful that their supreme is alive, they weren't aware at the time of the spell that their own life may have been on the line.

The consequence for bringing a life back from the dead is that death will come and claim and life in return. Everyone at the time assumed, from what Jas alluded to, that death would come and claim the life of someone close to Jas for bringing Poppy back. But, what they didn't know is that the rules for witches within a coven are different. Because Jasmine was a coven member at the time of the spell, the life death came to claim was within the coven.

After the loss of Poppy's mother's life for Poppy to live, you decided that dark magic within the coven should never be used again. While you respect Poppy decisions as your supreme, you secretly view her half-sister to be a huge liability and are counting down the days until she gets kicked out.

Some alternative rock musicians struggle thanks to what their subgenres represent in the eyes of many. To give you an example – what could nu metal musicians do on their own? They were a part of a paradigm that became heavily criticized for a number of reasons – this deserves a discussion, but let us leave that for some other time – , so when some went on their own, they tried to go somewhere else. Shifty from Crazy Town, for instance, decided to make a party album. While this doesn't sound like a stretch for him – his band was in this vein –, the soundscapes shock us. One could glimpse a different career for him, he could be a great vocalist for many European EDM DJs and I'm saddened this didn't happen. He didn't do much solo-wise afterwards

Writing Notes: Abbreviations

Abbreviations, one of the most noticeable features of present-day English linguistic life, would form a major part of any superdictionary.

6 Types of Abbreviations

INITIALISMS

Items which are spoken as individual letters, such as BBC, DJ, MP, EEC, e.g., and USA; also called alphabetisms.

The vast majority of abbreviations fall into this category.

Not all use only the first letters of the constituent words:

PhD, for example, uses the first two letters of the word philosophy.

GHQ and TV take a letter from the middle of the word.

ACRONYMS

Initialisms which are pronounced as single words:

NATO, laser, UNESCO, and SALT (talks).

Such items would never have periods separating the letters – a contrast with initialisms, where punctuation is often present (especially in older styles of English).

However, some linguists do not recognize a sharp distinction between acronyms and initialisms, but use the former term for both.

CLIPPING

A part of a word which serves for the whole, such as "ad" and "phone".

These examples illustrate the two chief types:

The first part is kept (the commoner type, as in demo, exam, pub, Gill).

The last part is kept (as in bus, plane).

Sometimes a middle part is kept (e.g., fridge and flu).

There are also several clippings which retain material from more than one part of the word, such as maths (UK), gents, and specs.

"Turps" is a curiosity, in the way it adds an -s.

Several clipped forms also show adaptation, such as:

fries (from French fried potatoes), Betty (from Elizabeth), and Bill (from William).

BLENDS

A word which is made out of the shortened forms of two other words, such as:

brunch (breakfast + lunch)

heliport (helicopter + airport)

smog (smoke + fog)

Eurovision (European + television)

Scientific terms frequently make use of blending (as in the case of bionic).

As do brand names (a device which cleaned your teeth while you used the phone might be called Teledent)

And fashionable neologisms.

AWKWARD CASES

Abbreviations which do not fall clearly into the above 4 categories.

Some forms can be used either as initialisms or acronyms (UFO – ‘U F O’ or ‘you-foe’).

Some mix these types in the one word (CDROM, pronounced ‘seedee- rom’).

Some can form part of a larger word, using affixes (ex-JP, pro-BBC, ICBMs).

Some are used only in writing (Mr, St – always pronounced in full in speech).

More Gluncle Mike AU

As Ruin happens Gregory hearing Cassie in trouble takes his dad and Freddy to help. They find Bonnie along the way and can't get Freddy to leave his friend's side until they promise to come back for him when they leave. Since Bonnie is barely functional and can't move anyway they take some of his parts to help the others. Freddy promises to get him brand-new parts later.

They make emergency repairs to the others while finding Cassie and team up to take down the mimic. Freddy got to hit it with a metal pipe a few times before they set it on fire. They're all going home together, though DJ Music Man is too big to be moved so his memory card is taken and moved to a mini Music Man. Sorry about the downsizing buddy, we'll customize you into a slightly bigger body once we get home and everyone else is taken care of.

So chances are everyone who knows about William is kind of uncomfortable around animatronic rabbits right? The one who knew about Michael found it so odd that Freddy's so close to a Bonnie.

Do you know what would make it even more fun though?

Make Bonnie the type of person to casually flirt. Evan is not even entertaining the idea of his older brother dating an animatronic rabbit. Evan really should have known better than to let Freddy see it bothered him because the "mess with younger sibling" instincts are kicking in hard. Freddy is flirting back just to mess with Evan. This continues for several days until Freddy gets bored of it.

Freddy gains other traits from Michael and uses them to get along better with the others. Since William was an awful dad Michael probably learned to cook for Evan and Elizabeth, so Freddy has cooking lessons with Chica. Michael being a bit of a …delinquent has Freddy roughhousing with Monty and showing him some proper fighting moves and blocks. Freddy explains some of the things that might frighten or startle a child to Eclipse, Sun, and Moon, though he doesn't explain how he knows. With Roxanne, Freddy asks for a makeover because his design and colors don't feel like him anymore. He also explains to her that he can't help but feel like the others want him to be someone else but he's not sure who. He's afraid of failing and letting them down.

OLD - NEW I wanted to continue the comic "7 march 1984". It's funny, but I decided to look at what day of the week March 7, 1984, and missed by one day, because at the beginning the events take place on Thursday, and in monochrome part. Fritz remember what happened on Wednesday So the comic now named "8 march 1984" I had markings on what should be next in the plot and I wrote the text, but did not make a sketch and therefore looked the comic to remember how I drew the Bullies and the missing kids. As a result… well…it looked too bad, so I decided to redraw this squalor. There are too many mistakes in anatomy and this background…uh…colors too strange and dead awful. And I've already redraw the first frame with new coloring way. I also changed Sofia's dress because this strange orange with a green stripe initially seemed strange. I decided not to reinvent the wheel and will return to the classic colors for Chica and her humanizations

Old- New But now she looks like Susie because of polka dot. But this is the 80s. The polka dot pattern should be in fashion...?

I'll continue with the rest later... Uhhh Fritz and Jeremy looks so bad at coloring page. Basically, the problem is that the first pages are a scan from a sketchbook where I made line and in order not to waste time, I just cleaned and painted in digital. So we will have to redo some of them to a greater extent, some to a lesser extent. Also, I started a sketch of the next block of the comic . There will be more of Michael. William will appear after the block with Michael, so it won't be soon. For those who reading all this, I will say that Sofia weaves friendship bracelets and the one that Jeremy's hand is her gift. Gabriel also has one and Fritz has one on his backpack. And I changed the pillow on which she lies simply because the reference to the DJ does not make any sense yet because the Circus animatronics does not exist yet. And she took this pillow from Fritz. Fritz bought it in the prize corner for the tickets that Michael pulled out of the arcade machine with his father's key. One stolen key from father's desk and they are the kings of tickets
